[ 01 ]The challenge

5G/6G and high-speed RF front-ends need substrates whose dimensions and dielectric behaviour stay stable as the system self-heats and ambient swings. Expansion drift detunes resonators, filters, and feed networks; fixed-CTE substrates force RF designers to budget margin against the material rather than optimise the circuit. As frequencies climb, the tolerance on dimensional stability tightens and the fixed-material compromise costs performance.

[ 02 ]The Strocera approach

Strocera supplies the substrate as a ready-to-fire powder blend with CTE tuned for stability across the RF system's thermal range, so the substrate is set to the circuit's needs. You specify the operating envelope and stability target; the formulation is adjusted to hold dimensions through self-heating and ambient cycling, preserving tuning. In-house forming closes the iteration loop quickly versus long-lead substrates; expansion behaviour is dilatometry-traceable for design margin. Dielectric-loss characterization for the highest-frequency bands is part of ongoing R&D. Confirm the current envelope with our materials team.
