ITAR-free, European-proximate ceramic platforms for armour, missile, and electronic warfare systems.
Two applications in production or validation. Both start from the same position: the specification is fixed, the material is formulated to meet it.
Defence ceramic requirements are set by the threat and the platform, not by a supplier's product list. A ballistic strikeface is specified against a defined threat level and an areal density budget. A radome is specified against a flight envelope and a radar band. Neither requirement moves to fit a catalogue grade.
What moves instead is the design. A programme selects the closest available grade and absorbs the difference: in mass, in thickness, or in signal loss. On a ground vehicle that difference is measured in kg/m². On a missile it is measured in transmission loss across the operating band.
A second constraint has become explicit rather than implied. European defence programmes increasingly specify supply chains outside United States export control, and European funding instruments now treat that status as an assessment criterion.
Ballistic-grade structural ceramic, field-deployed and qualified.
Submicron α-Al₂O₃ at 99.5% Al₂O₃, supplied as feedstock rather than as finished tile. You press and sinter to your own geometry and areal density target. Vickers hardness 14.20 GPa to ASTM C1327, fracture toughness 3.89 MPa·m¹ᐟ² by Vickers indentation, sintered density 98.05% of theoretical by Archimedes displacement, ASTM C20. Production-qualified in armoured ground-vehicle ballistic systems. Supplying feedstock rather than finished tile keeps the forming route, the geometry and the ballistic qualification inside your facility. Nothing about the strikeface design has to be disclosed to the material supplier.
Full Alpha Alumina Powder specRF-transparent ceramic engineered for high-velocity flight.
Coefficient of thermal expansion formulated against your flight envelope rather than selected from a fixed grade. Expansion behaviour is characterised over 100 to 800 °C, so the window holds dimensional stability and RF transmission through the thermal cycle instead of only at one end of it. Supplied as a ready-to-fire powder blend, so radome geometry and finishing stay in your facility.
Full Adaptive Glass-Ceramic specEngineers working on defence platforms often also evaluate Strocera in Space for re-entry thermal protection, and Strocera in Inertial Navigation for ring laser gyroscope cavities.
Bring the operating conditions. We'll tell you which platform fits, and how we'd formulate it.
